The Aneu Valleys 

The Aneu Valleys are situated in the northwest of Catalonia, to the most northern zone of Pallars and in the high part of the Noguera Pallaresa River. They limit the north with the French department of the Ariege, the south with the town of Llavorsi, the east with the Valley of Llavorsi and to the West with the region of the Valley of Aran.

Its geographic location forms the territory like a natural paradise, where we can find valleys, forests, meadows and mountains surrounded by lakes. The climate is Mediterranean, the summers are smooth, and the winters are cold and dry.  


The aneu valleys are a small demarcation of 400 km2 with 24 towns and one population of approximately 1600 habitants.

Administratively it is divided in 4 municipalities: Alt Aneu, Esterri de Aneu, La Guingueta d’ Aneu and Espot.
